A high pressure ridge lies over central Victoria as a low pressure system develops south of the Bight. The low will approach western Victoria late Tuesday with an associated trough sliding slowly across the State on Wednesday and weakening as the low becomes near stationary to the west of Tasmania. A mild, humid and unstable northwesterly airstream will prevail across Victoria for the remainder of the week following the front.
