The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) advises that restaurants and cafés must close unless they offer takeaway or food and beverage delivery services. This ruling also applies to restaurants, cafés, workplace canteens within workplaces and shopping centres.

All food and health businesses are follow the industry guidelines and regulations specific to their business type, e.g.:
a. Food businesses - refer to  Food Standards Code; and,
b. Health and Beauty businesses - refer to Infection prevention and control guidelines for hair, beauty, tattooing and skin penetration industries, particularly in relation to cleaning all equipment before being used on new clients.
